Been using those OEM earphones right from the time I bought those for my W810i -

Pros:

1. Excellent clarity and as others have mentioned, bass and fidelity

2. Snug fit most of the time

3. Much better clarity than most bluetooth headsets, the only one that was close was the jawbone BT

4. Excellent as an FM antenna for the W810i – very good for use in most places – one secret that I don’t tell many – use in AIRPLANES – you can get good local music fast and even the local NPR if you search enough

5. Bluetooth cannot help with “Magic Word” for pure voice control as most phones will not keep listening to a wireless headset to save battery. Not so with those SE beauties. I haven’t seen much battery time loss with this cord attached.

Cons:

1. You need to adjust a bit, till you get to your comfort ear-fit. Annoying if either phone falls off an ear – but better than most other earphones (comparable to ear gels)

2. You cannot hear properly when people physically nearby speak – even if earphone audio is off – but then taking off one of the phones from a ear helps.

3. If you want to use the earphones alone, the wires are short.. The right earphone is 2′ long and the left one is even shorter (~1ft), so the earphones alone cannot be used for stereo with other devices. I still use with my laptop sometimes in bed with only the right earphone, where mono is enough..

This headphones are working perfectly with my Sony Ericsson K800i. The cable has two parts. The one that connects to the cell phone has a 3.5mm headphone jack that allows connecting the headphones included in the package or any other set with 3.5mm connection. The headphones themselves sound great and one can feel the bass directly through one’s ear bones thanks to their shape. I am also using only the connector cable with other headphones with hook for running and the length of the connector is more than enough. Great value for a good price.

I was wary of purchasing these headphones online at such a bargain price but they are awesome. I ordered two so I have a back up set. They were also delivered promptly. Awesome buy!

This is an affordable accessary with an outdated design. The quality on the headset feels flimsy, the cords are thin and very short. Thankfully there is the 3.5mm adapter/microphone that provides additional cord length and the option of using headset of your choice. The adapter/microphone has a 7/8 x 1/2 x 3/8 inch dataport plug for connection to the cellphone. This plug makes a compact size cell phone looks and feel clumsy(3.5mm port on the cellphone is better). I think the cell phone company should have included the adapter/microphone cord in the cell phone package instead of having to buy one for a MUSIC phone.

I would say that this headset was only worth one star, but I will go ahead and give two because they did work perfectly for the first few days I had them. Also–despite the reviews claiming that the cords are too short–the design is great; I could once again listen to music on my SE walkman phone (placed firmly in my pocket, mind you–and I’m 5’10″) with great sound once I got these.

Alas, the main cord detached from just beneath the mouthpiece when I inadvertently tugged at the headset cord when I was trying to undo a neck scarf. Considering the headset that came with my phone lasted for over a year under the same type of normal wear and tear, I find this unacceptable.
