i like this product…for the most part

:( the front blackberry symbol is REALLY bright, but after a few days, i got used to it

:( I need to take off my silicone case to recharge

:) My cord recharger wouldn’t recharge if inserted directly to the phone, but if I plug it into the recharging pod it works again. Something about the electric current not flowing properly to the blackberry… I have seen this problem a lot on the discussion boards.

This unit works well for the office. I place it just beside by monitor so I can see any incoming calls. The BB fits in this unit easily and when you need to run to a meeting it lifts out in a snap. The only thing about this unit I don’t like is the fact that the light does not change colors indicating that it is charging or turn off when charging is complete. Some of the product descriptions lead you to believe it changes colors. IT DOES NOT. Regardless this unit does make it more convenient to have your BB sitting up for easy viewing then laying on your desk while you are pouring sweat over the days agenda. Or not.

As others have said, this Pod does not have a two color led to show when your berry is charged. The logo on the front of the pod and the strip under the metal connections inside the pod turn white when plugged into the wall. Berry or no berry, the lights are on. The pod is meant to connect to the wall charger. You are free to connect a usb cable from your pc directly to your berry if you want to sync. Bottom line: it charges, looks pretty darn good, and feels like a hefty well made accessory.

Cannot believe the deal I got on Amazon. This thing retails for 2x to 3x more. Got units for everywhere. Totally charged, all the time, makes incoming visible on your desk, etc. LOVE IT. Excellent X-mas gift BTW. Cannot believe I used to charge using nothing but the cable. Just FYI-this is NOT a sync, its not supposed to be. But because of where the mini-usb is located, you can charge AND sync simultaneously if you have the cable handy. Excellent purchase. Oh, yes, and the charger cord? three bucks from same site. Not kidding.

I bought this to use on the road, I dont like to lay my phone down to charge, and I am very happy with this purchase. I just wish it came with its own cord. It does not sync, but that is fine with me, I do all that from home anyway. Very light, stylish and love the little night light it provides! Makes it easy to find in the dark.
